Tornado Intercept Vehicle, intercepted in San Diego!
I spotted this magnificent beast as I was leaving my son's school. Wondering if I'd ever have another chance to see the TIV in person (because, really, how many tornadoes are they going to encounter in San Diego?), I gave chase, tailing the Storm Chaser until it parked on a quiet neighborhood street.
They'd just returned from shooting in the Midwest, and will be doing some filming next month with Discovery; but they were home for the meantime. Since they're in the neighborhood, I'm hoping I can get them to visit my son's school! Sent from my iPhone

Nice, I spotted the tiv parked down he street from me here in bay park. Impressive vehicle up close!
